Kimberly and Joey’s wedding at The Bradford in North Carolina was one of those full-circle days that reminded me exactly why I love what I do. I first met these two almost two years before their wedding when they modeled for a shoot with me. From the very beginning, their connection was effortless — playful, genuine, and completely full of life. Not long after that, Joey reached out to hire me to photograph his proposal to Kimberly, and getting to witness that moment felt like such an honor. Fast forward to their wedding day at The Bradford, and it truly felt like watching their love story come to life in the most beautiful way.
The Bradford is one of the most sought-after wedding venues in North Carolina, and it was the perfect setting for Kimberly and Joey’s romantic and joy-filled celebration. Nestled just outside of Raleigh, the venue’s elegant architecture and natural surroundings created the dreamiest backdrop for a modern Southern wedding. Every detail of their day felt intentional, emotional, and completely true to who they are as a couple.
Instead of a first look, Kimberly and Joey chose to share a first touch — one of my favorite moments to photograph. They stood back-to-back, holding hands and exchanging quiet words before the ceremony began. There were deep breaths, nervous laughter, and a few tears as the reality of the day set in. It was such a sweet, intimate pause before everything officially began, and you could feel just how excited they were to finally be marrying each other.
