Hi, I’m Shelby. Photographer, mom to the coolest 8 year old, chronic over sharer, and someone who has never met a stranger.
I’ve been photographing weddings for almost a decade, which is kind of insane to say out loud. I still genuinely love them. The people, the outfits, the chaos, the happy crying, the weird family dynamics, the packed dance floors. Give me all of it.
I care about pretty photos, obviously. But I care way more about making photos that actually feel like you. I’ll tell you what to do with your hands when you need me to, fix your dress, hype you up, and then get out of the way when the good stuff is happening.
I’m based in Raleigh, but will happily get on a plane pretty much anywhere. I love good food, traveling, laughing way too loudly, and people who don’t take themselves too seriously.

Basically, I want to make really beautiful photos, make sure you actually enjoy your wedding, and hopefully leave feeling a little less like your photographer and a little more like your friend.

My philosophy is to capture the moments that truly matter — the laughter, the quiet smiles, the embraces, and the energy between you and the people you love. Of course we’ll take the classic portraits, but what I’m most drawn to are the in-between moments when you’re fully immersed in the joy and chaos of your day. Those are the memories that feel the most alive years later.
My approach is both directive and natural. I’ll guide you so you feel confident and comfortable, while also giving you space to simply be present with one another. The result is a blend of candid, playful imagery with a refined, modern editorial feel.
Choosing your photographer is about more than loving their work — it’s about choosing someone whose presence makes you feel at ease, understood, and completely yourself.

Nothing beats hanging out with my favorite people, We love to go to the beach, we play to much switch, we bake alot of cookies in hopes of making a good batch and it always the best time.

Have you seen that tik - tok that says "I want to sit down at a good restaurant, okay? I want a fat margarita, okay? And I want my friend to look me in the eye and tell me the something so scandalous that my jaw is on the floor."
Well thats my ideal night.

I am from Arizona, meaning I was not at the beach much, my fun was trying to get stabbed by cactus in 105 degree weather... so now that I live 1 hr from the beach I force my friends and family there a couple times a week during the summer!
